This post serves two important purposes: 1) bring my blog back from the dead, and 2) promote an event that I’m proud to be a part of.

Writeshop is an upcoming workshop designed to cover the basics of copywriting, and help professionals become more confident in and proficient at their writing prowess (myself included). Hosted by Commpose, Writeshop will take place on Saturday, July 31 from 9:30am to 4pm at Gangplank in Chandler, AZ. Attendees will learn from full-time copywriters, UI experts, social media mavens and more.

Commpose was founded by Kim Stearns after she noticed a lack of events that specifically focused on copywriting (seriously, where’s the love?). The monthly meetups are free, informal and attended by a diverse group of Phoenix-area professionals.

We started with 30 tickets last week, and only 9 remain. $15 buys admission, lunch, swag, and awesomeness.
